Driftless for Democracy: Resources

  • Civic Education/Civil Conversation: https://www.edx.org/learn/justice/harvard-university-justice “This introduction to moral and political philosophy is one of the most popular courses taught at Harvard College.” Michael Sandel’s “Justice” course at Harvard teaches participants how to talk across differences. Harvard’s EdX platform offers the course for free; local groups talk their way through the course before engaging community-wide on difficult issues.
  • Litigation Tracker: https://www.justsecurity.org/107087/tracker-litigation-legal-challenges-trump-administration/ “This public resource tracks legal challenges to Trump administration actions.” Many of the organizations filing these suits accept donations to support this work.
  • Pocket Constitution: https://constitutionbooklet.com/Formatted to print in booklet form.
  • Protect Democracy: https://protectdemocracy.org/ “Protect Democracy is a cross-ideological nonprofit group dedicated to defeating the authoritarian threat, building more resilient democratic institutions, and protecting our freedom and liberal democracy. Our experts and advocates use litigation, legislative and communications strategies, technology, research, and analysis to stand up for free and fair elections, the rule of law, fact-based debate, and a better democracy for future generations.”
